FILCAMS is the largest category of active workers of CGIL Milano by number of members.

It is known as “the trade union of commerce” but in reality it organizes workers from multiple sectors of activity: trade, large-scale distribution, cooperative distribution, hotels, canteens, public establishments, travel agencies and tour operators, pharmacies, housekeepers and the so-called “carers”, security and concierge services, cleaning services, advanced tertiary sector, professional studios.

To respond to the different needs of these realities and to better protect and promote the rights of such a broad and articulated world of work, FILCAMS of Milan is active with multiple resources and tools: the network of DELEGATES, with over 1,600 Delegates between RSA and RSU; the union OFFICIALS, who constitute the “political apparatus” of the organization; BILATERALITY which is a contractually derived tool that integrates traditional union activity in some areas.
